Day 2:

Welcome to Germany!
  • Meet your Tour Director at the airport
  • Explore Berlin on foot with your Tour Director, walking from Alexanderplatz to the Nikolai Quarter, then across Museum Island where culture, history, and modern energy intersect

Day 3:

Explore Berlin
  • Guided by a local expert, trace Berlin’s history of division and transformation. See the Brandenburg Gate, remnants of the Berlin Wall, Potsdamer Platz, and the Reichstag’s glass dome rising above the scars of the past
  • Inside the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, explore exhibits on Cold War escapes, resistance, and life divided by the Berlin Wall
  • Free time or Optional Guided excursion to Potsdam
  • Opt for an excursion to Potsdam, where a guided visit to the Neues Palais reveals the grandeur of Prussian royalty, followed by a stroll through the landscaped beauty of the Sanssouci Palace gardens and a glimpse of the Russian Colony’s unique village charm

Day 4:

Berlin - Prague
  • Travel via Dresden to Prague
  • Explore Dresden on foot with your Tour Director, walking through reconstructed squares and along the Elbe as baroque buildings and modern energy frame the city’s renewal

Day 5:

Explore Prague
  • Guided by a local expert, explore Prague’s royal quarter and gothic heart. Walk the grounds of Hradčany, admire the soaring arches of St. Vitus Cathedral, and cross the Charles Bridge where statues and spires line the way
  • Explore Prague on foot with your Tour Director, crossing from the Baroque charm of Malá Strana to Old Town Square, where the astronomical clock marks time beneath spires and stories

Day 6:

Prague - Kraków
  • Travel to Kraków
  • Guided by a local expert, visit the memorial and museum at Auschwitz and Birkenau. Walk through preserved barracks and solemn grounds where remembrance and testimony preserve the weight of history

Day 7:

Explore Kraków
  • Guided by a local expert, take in Kraków’s medieval beauty and vibrant squares. Walk through Glowny Square and the bustling Market Square, then admire the castle heights of Wawel rising above the city
  • Visit Wawel Cathedral to explore royal tombs, side chapels, and the bell tower where Polish kings were crowned and laid to rest
  • Free time or Optional Excursion to the Wieliczka Salt Mine
  • Enjoy free time or opt to descend into the Wieliczka Salt Mine near Kraków, where underground chapels and sculptures carved from salt reveal centuries of labor and artistry

Day 8:

Kraków - Budapest
  • Travel to Budapest, crossing through Slovakia and passing by scenic countryside along the way
  • Explore Budapest on foot with your Tour Director, taking in sweeping views from Fisherman’s Bastion and walking the riverfront to see the iconic Hungarian Parliament building

Day 9:

Explore Budapest
  • Guided by a local expert, explore Budapest’s historic grandeur on both sides of the Danube. See Heroes’ Square, St. Stephen’s Basilica, and the grand heights of Castle Hill rising above the river
  • Visit Matthias Church and admire its colorful tiled roof and ornate Gothic spires, standing at the heart of Budapest’s historic Castle Hill
  • Visit the Budapest baths to soak in the city’s famous thermal waters, a centuries-old tradition blending wellness and social ritual
  • Free time or Optional Danube cruise
  • Opt to take a Danube River cruise and watch Budapest light up from the water, with illuminated bridges and Parliament glowing along the riverbanks
  • Enjoy a special farewell dinner to celebrate your journey and share a final meal with your group

Depart for home
