Day 4:

Cairo - Aswan

• Fly to Aswan
  
• Guided by a local expert, explore Egypt’s southern gateway. Visit the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis and relocated stone by stone to its island sanctuary after the Aswan Dam’s construction. Then see the Aswan High Dam, the modern marvel that tamed the Nile
• Enjoy a felucca sailboat ride on the Nile and drift along the river much as travelers did centuries ago

Day 5:

Cruise

• Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a unique double temple dedicated to both Horus and Sobek, overlooking the Nile with symmetrical halls and sacred crocodile mummies
  
• Continue cruising toward Edfu
  
• Enjoy onboard activities and evening views from the deck
  

Day 6:

Cruise

• Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt, with towering columns and detailed reliefs depicting the falcon-headed god

Day 7:

Explore Luxor

• Disembark your Nile cruise in Luxor
  
• Guided by a local expert, explore the West Bank of Luxor, where pharaohs were laid to rest. Descend into the Valley of the Kings to visit the tomb of Tutankhamun, with its vivid paintings and gilded sarcophagus.
• Visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, an elegant complex built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, then see the Colossi of Memnon and the workers’ village of Deir el-Medina
  
• Visit the Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu, with towering pylons and battle scenes commemorating military victories and divine rule
  

Day 8:

Luxor - Cairo

• Guided by a local expert, walk the grand axis of ancient Thebes. Visit Karnak Temple, a vast religious complex of towering columns and sacred hieroglyphs that honor the gods of Egypt
• Visit Luxor Temple, where obelisks and statues line the beautifully lit courtyards of one of Egypt’s most atmospheric ancient sites

Explore Cairo

• Guided by a local expert, explore Cairo’s layered past and vibrant present. Climb the Saladin Citadel for sweeping views and visit the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, a hilltop fortress of stone and alabaster. Explore the Mosque of Qalawun, a Mamluk masterpiece of intricate carvings and centuries-old domes, then stroll the green spaces of Al-Azhar Park
• Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to thousands of ancient artifacts including royal mummies, towering statues, and the legendary treasures of Tutankhamun
  
• Enjoy a special farewell dinner to celebrate your journey and share a final meal with your group
