Overnight Flight to Lisbon

Day 2:

Welcome to Portugal!

• Meet your Tour Director at the airport
  
• Explore Lisbon on foot with your Tour Director, climbing through the twisting lanes of the Alfama quarter, past the Pombal Statue, and toward the Presidential Palace perched above the city

Day 3:

Explore Lisbon

• Guided by a local expert, trace Lisbon’s age of exploration along the Tagus River. See the Tower of Belém and the striking Padrão dos Descobrimentos rising from the riverfront in stone
• Visit the Jerónimos Monastery, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture and resting place of Vasco da Gama, echoing Portugal’s Age of Discovery
  
• Take an excursion to the hilltop town of Sintra, where fairytale palaces, misty forests, and pastel villas have enchanted royals and romantics for centuries
  
• Free time or Optional Fado performance
• Opt to attend a traditional Fado performance, where Portugal’s haunting music gives voice to longing, love, and the soul of a nation

Day 4:

Lisbon - Seville

• Travel via Évora to Seville
  
• Explore Évora on foot with your Tour Director, walking the cobbled lanes of this UNESCO-listed town, known for its whitewashed houses, Roman ruins, and a haunting chapel lined with human bones
  

Day 5:

Explore Seville

• Guided by a local expert, explore Seville’s grand plazas and golden landmarks. See the tiled arcades of Plaza de España, the riverside Torre del Oro, and the resting place said to hold Christopher Columbus
• Visit Seville Cathedral to stand beneath one of the world’s largest Gothic altarpieces
  
• Ascend the Giralda Tower, a former minaret turned bell tower, for panoramic views over Seville’s historic center
  
• Enjoy a flamenco evening filled with rhythm, passion, and the spirit of Andalusia
  

Day 6:

Seville - Madrid

• Travel via Córdoba to Madrid
  
• Guided by a local expert, explore Córdoba’s winding lanes and rich past. Pass whitewashed homes, lively courtyards, and traces of Roman, Moorish, and Jewish heritage woven through the old town
• Visit the Mezquita, a stunning mosque-cathedral where Islamic arches and a Christian altar coexist beneath a forest of red-and-white columns
  
• Ride the AVE high-speed train from Córdoba to Madrid, connecting southern Spain to the capital on smooth, modern rails
  

Day 7:

Explore Madrid

• Guided by a local expert, explore Madrid’s sweeping boulevards and royal legacy. From Gran Vía to Calle Mayor, pass Puerta de Alcalá and take in the city’s neoclassical grandeur and stately energy
• Visit the Royal Palace, Madrid’s grandest landmark, with gilded rooms, frescoed ceilings, and centuries of royal history
  
• Explore Madrid on foot with your Tour Director, crossing Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor before arriving at Plaza de España, where statues, fountains, and literary figures frame the square
• Enjoy a special farewell dinner to celebrate your journey and share a final meal with your group
