  • Guided by a local expert, explore the vibrant Soweto neighborhood and visit the Mandela House Museum to learn about the life of South Africa’s most iconic leader
  • Visit the Apartheid Museum, a deeply moving space that chronicles South Africa’s journey from institutionalized racism to democracy through powerful storytelling
  • Walk the halls of Constitution Hill, a former prison turned symbol of justice and a powerful site of South Africa’s democratic journey

Day 4:

Johannesburg - Kruger Region
  • Travel along the scenic Panorama Route, with sweeping views of cliffs, canyons, and bushveld stretching into the distance
  • Stop at Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, and Bourke’s Luck Potholes to take in some of South Africa’s most dramatic landscapes
  • Ride the Long Tom Toboggan, zipping down twisting tracks through forested hills and open countryside
  • Ride the glass elevator at Graskop Gorge and descend into a lush canyon filled with ferns, waterfalls, and wooden walkways

Day 5:

Kruger National Park
  • With a licensed wildlife guide, spend a full day on safari in Kruger National Park. Travel across savanna and bushveld in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, and rhinos in one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves

  • Guided by a local expert, explore Cape Town’s vibrant layers—from the colorful facades of Bo-Kaap to the stone ramparts of the Castle of Good Hope. Hear stories of trade, colonization, resistance, and culture in one of the world’s most iconic coastal cities
  • Take a ferry across Table Bay to Robben Island, where you’ll visit Nelson Mandela’s former prison cell and see the limestone quarry where political prisoners labored under the sun and the weight of history

Day 9:

Explore the Cape Peninsula
  • Visit the summit of Table Mountain by cable car and take in panoramic views of Cape Town and the coastline
  • Discover Cape Point Nature Reserve and ride the funicular to dramatic cliffs where two oceans meet
  • Visit Boulders Beach to watch African penguins waddle between granite boulders and crashing surf
  • Stop at the Cape Point Ostrich Farm and stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens at the base of Table Mountain
  • Explore the coastal towns of Muizenberg and Simon’s Town, known for pastel beach huts, naval history, and waterfront cafés
