Day 5:
Tokyo - Mount Fuji area

Visit Fuji-Hakone-Izu to follow mountain trails, float across crater lakes, and glimpse Japan’s sacred peak between steam and sky

Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Ashi, with views of forested hills and, on clear days, Mount Fuji in the distance

Ride the Mount Komagatake cable car for sweeping views of Lake Ashi and, on clear days, Mount Fuji in the distance
Day 6:
Mount Fuji area - Kyoto

Visit Nijō Castle, a former shogun residence known for its ornate interiors, “nightingale floors,” and peaceful gardens that reflect feudal power

Explore Kyoto

Guided by a local expert, explore Kyoto’s quiet beauty and spiritual grace. Visit the gold-leafed Kinkaku-ji, where shimmering reflections dance on a tranquil pond, then walk the winding path beneath thousands of vermilion gates at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine

Visit Arashiyama Bamboo Grove to wander through towering stalks swaying in the breeze, an otherworldly escape just outside the city
Day 8:
Nara

Enjoy an excursion to Nara, Japan’s first permanent capital. Visit Todai-ji Temple to see the towering Great Buddha, stroll through Nara Park where friendly deer roam freely, and explore Kasuga Grand Shrine, known for its thousands of stone and bronze lanterns along forested paths

Step inside the Iga-ryu Samurai and Ninja Museum to visit hidden rooms, weapon exhibits, and live demonstrations of stealth and skill
