  • Guided by a local expert, experience Tokyo’s contrasts of sacred and stylish. Visit the Meiji Shinto Shrine’s towering torii gates, browse Harajuku’s bold fashion scene, and explore Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple, alive with lanterns, incense, and tradition.
  • Explore Shibuya Crossing, where the energy of Tokyo flows in every direction beneath giant screens and glowing towers
  • Sing your heart out during a classic karaoke experience with your group

Day 4:

Tokyo
  • Enjoy a traditional Japanese tea ceremony that blends ritual, precision, and quiet beauty
  • Visit the Miraikan Science Museum, where hands-on exhibits, robotics, and futuristic displays invite you to explore the cutting edge of human innovation
  • Visit Tokyo Tower, a modern symbol inspired by the Eiffel Tower, offering sweeping views and a glimpse into Japan’s postwar rebirth

Day 5:

Tokyo - Kanazawa
  • Travel by bullet train to Kanazawa, a hidden gem known for samurai history and serene gardens
  • Guided by a local expert, visit Kenrokuen Garden, where sculpted pines and tranquil ponds reflect centuries of design, stroll the Nagamachi District once home to samurai families, and explore the stately grounds of Kanazawa Castle with its watchtowers and stone walls
  • Participate in a gold-leaf chopstick activity and decorate your own pair using a centuries-old local technique

Day 6:

Kanazawa - Kyoto
  • Travel by bullet train to Kyoto
  • Visit Nishiki Market, a bustling arcade of stalls and specialty shops offering a deep dive into Kyoto’s food culture—from pickled vegetables to fresh mochi

Day 7:

Kyoto
  • Free time or Optional Full day guided excursion to Hiroshima
  • Opt to take a full-day guided excursion to Hiroshima by bullet train. Visit the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, see Hiroshima Castle, and take a guided tour that reflects on loss, resilience, and hope for peace

Day 8:

Explore Kyoto
  • Guided by a local expert, explore Kyoto’s quiet beauty and spiritual grace. Visit the gold-leafed Kinkaku-ji, walk beneath thousands of red gates at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, take in sweeping views from hillside Kiyomizudera Temple, and stroll Ninen Zaka, a stone-paved slope lined with traditional wooden shops and teahouses
  • Visit Arashiyama Bamboo Grove to wander through towering stalks swaying in the breeze, an otherworldly escape just outside the city
  • Enjoy a special farewell dinner to celebrate your journey and share a final meal with your group
